I would like to tell you a bit about A Day In The Death of Joe Egg, a play that opened at The Citz in October this year. The play is a dark comedy about a couple with a disabled daughter, Joe. The play focusses on how this situation affects their married life. Helen at the Citizens Theatre kindly asked me to shoot some interviews with the cast of the play a few weeks back. I was lucky enough to get a hold of cameraman and friend Rick Walker for the shoot which made my editing job a pleasurable experience! Amongst the cast members was Miriam Margoyles of Black Adder and Harry Potter fame which was rather exciting… Have a swatch at the trail here and get along to the the show, it’s a goodin.

Toad’s Caravan was commissioned to create a trailer for Sue Glover’s play ‘Marilyn’ which featured at The Citizens Theatre earlier this year.

Myself and Up Up Design created this trailer for the show.

In October I made some new artwork based around panoramic photographs of Mingarry Street and Clouston Street.

These sketches are a work in progress – I’m working to make enough images to create an animation about visual distortions.

We were delighted to release the trailer for Hansel and Gretel, The Citizens’ Theatre’s Christmas show. After seeing Beauty and The Beast last winter, I really can’t wait for this one. The Citz definitely know how to make children’s theatre extra interesting and extra special in every way.

We’ve really enjoyed making the trailer and it’s been brilliant to see everything come together. Our session in M8 Media’s greenscreen studio was great with both the kids, Alex and Caitlin, performing like pros. UpUp Design have been crafting the forest environment and the sweetie house in 3D at Toad’s Caravan studios.

I’ve been working on the print design for the campaign too – I’m sure you will have seen some of these around town by now…!

TC is a digital and analogue artists’ collective based in the west end of Glasgow. We’re all working freelance, under one roof, to make things easier (for us and for you).

I set the studio up in October 2010 bringing together designers in a shared space to generate more work, share skills and ideas and most importantly, to keep one another company.
